Hammerheads have wide set eyes that let them see both above and below. They can pick up electrical pulses and look for prey by swinging their heads back and forth like a metal detector, scanning the ocean bottom for prey.
Hand carved from Chinaberry wood, a cultivated fast growing tree. Tropical mistletoes attach themselves to the tree branches. When they dry up and fall off, they leave perfect impressions of where they were. These beautiful flared impressions are integrated into the design when creating a sculpture.
