Seahorses are fish that don't like to move around a lot, sometimes using their prehensile tails to hang onto coral or seaweed for days. They are always eating and usually mate for life. Males carry the fertilized eggs until they hatch.
Hand carved from Chinaberry wood, a cultivated fast growing tree. Tropical mistletoes attach themselves to the tree branches. When they dry up and fall off, they leave perfect impressions of where they were. These beautiful flared impressions are integrated into the design when creating a sculpture.
