This beautiful opal comes alive in sunlight. The colors appear to dance in liquid as the stone is turned. It looks like a nebula viewed through a powerful telescope! Cantera opal is formed in a rhyolite matrix. This stone is free of crazing, the web like cracking that should be avoided when purchasing opals.
